The Gardens are available for daytime Saturday rentals from May 1 through October 31 except when a public event is scheduled in the Gardens. We have two outdoor spaces available as well as our intimate chapel. See our Weddings page for details.
Are reservations required to visit the Gardens or Home?
Reservations are not required.
Are both the Gardens and Home handicap accessible?
Preserving a historic attraction such as Bellingrath Gardens and Home requires maintaining its original structure. The pathways throughout the Gardens are handicap accessible except for the Asian Garden, which has overlooks but is not fully accessible by wheelchair. The Bellingrath Museum Home is not accessible to the handicapped, because part of the tour includes stairs. Manual wheelchairs are available to rent at the Entrance Building for a $6 fee.
May I purchase tickets online?
For most events, you may purchase your tickets at the ticket office inside the Entrance Building.
Are pets allowed at the Gardens?
Pets are not allowed inside the Gardens. To accommodate our guests that travel with their pets, we do offer use of our Pet Motel, free of charge. Notify your cashier in the Entrance Building if you’d like to use the Pet Motel. The cashier will issue a padlock for the kennel. Since the motel is not staffed, we recommend that all guests use the padlock to secure their kennel. Water is available, but guests will need to provide their own bowl.
