Unearthing a Buried History: Preliminary Findings from Archaeological Excavations at Bellingrath

Join Dr. Philip Carr of the USA Center for Archaeological Studies for a preliminary report on the recently completed Phase II testing at Bellingrath. Professor Carr will bring artifacts found on the property when he and his team revisited past dig sites and explored an area that will become a new garden. In his presentation, he’ll help us have a deeper understanding of the lives, landscapes, and layered history that existed here long before the Gardens opened to the public.
